Frequently Asked Questions

QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR FIELD

We have collected some of the most popular questions asked by our customers. If you have a question that is not listed below, you can always contact us and we will assist you right away; maybe your question will make the list!
  • Is it safe?

Yes! Being non- contact sports, paintball and airsoft do not have anywhere near the injuries of other sports like soccer, hockey, lacross or basketball. When playing under professional, supervised conditions with proper equipment, it is statistically safer than even golf or bowling!

Warzone has a trained and experienced staff of referees - the best in the business - who will be there with you every step of the way. Our first priority is to ensure a safe day of play. If someone is putting themselves or others at risk, they will be removed from play.

  • Does it hurt?

This is the most commonly asked question we get. The majority of players have no issues getting shot and some don't even know they were hit. Occasionally you'll get hit with a shot that stings, but the discomfort usually only lasts a moment. If you are concerned, wear layers or heavy clothing for padding. You can always take layers off if you don't need them.

  • How old do you have to be to play?

Players range from 7 years old to senior citizens, however you must be at least age 10+ to play paintball or airsoft. For groups younger than age 10, we recommend Low Impact Paintball (ages 7+)

Everyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their liability waiver.

  • Do I need parental permission?

Yes, if you are under the age of 18.

Print out our waiver so Mom or Dad can sign it.

  • What should I wear?

Dress appropriately for the weather and as if you are going hiking. Long pants and sleeves, along with a pair of old boots or sneakers, are appropriate. You may want to wear old clothing, because you are going to get dirty. And you may want dark colored clothing to help conceal your position in the woods. We do not rent gloves, supporters, hats or bandannas.

You do not want to wear shorts or thin clothing, dress shoes, jewelry, metal spikes or weapons of any sort.

  • What should I bring?

A change of clothes, paper towels for wiping off sweat and cleaning your goggles, snacks and NON ALCOHOLIC drinks like Gatorade or water (we sell this, but it’s cheaper if you bring your own). You may want to bring gloves to protect your hands (again, we sell this, but it’s cheaper if you bring your own). We have everything you’ll need on site.

  • What should I do about food?

Bring your own food or have it delivered. Just no alcohol, please.

  • Can I bring beer?

Only if you bring enough to share!

Just kidding. No, you cannot bring beer.

All alcohol is prohibited at WarZone Paintball.

  • Can I bring a camera?

OK, this isn't really frequently asked anymore, since everyone has a cell phone. But I'm gonna leave this here for the 3 or 4 people a year who actually read this thing. Hi! Mention this and the guy at registration may give you a free paint grenade.[Update: I guess more people read this than I realized. No more free grenades.]

  • How much paint/bb's will I need?

The average rental paintball player shot 500 rounds in a half-day from the day we opened until the pandemic hit. Now the average player shoots 1,000 rounds. Make of that what you will.

  • Can I bring my own paint?

No. Warzone is a Field Paint Only facility.

Self-equipped players may bring paint purchased from Rhode Island Paintball (bring the receipt!).

  • Can I bring my own BB's?

Self-equipped players may bring their own Bio BB's. Players that are renting equipment must shoot field BB’s only.

  • Can I use smoke grenades?

No. Warzone does not allow the use of any pyrotechnic grenades (smoke, pea grenades, anything by Enola Gaye prohibited, ask staff before using any grenade).

  • What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 9 am. We suggest getting to the field 30 minutes before your party begins so you can be set up in time for the first game, which usually kicks off at about 10 am.

  • How many games do we play in a day?

Expect between 6 and 8 games. Each game may have different objectives, duration and may be played on a different part of the field, so you'll get in a good variety of experiences. Airsoft games tend to be longer in duration, so you won't get as many in. Remember, the faster you get ready, the more games you'll play in a day.

  • What happens if it rains?

You get wet: This is not a day at the beach! If the weather isn't perfect, it usually doesn't interrupt your good time on the field. Just expect to get dirty. Once you are under the cover of trees, you are protected from most rain. LIGHTENING WILL SHUT US DOWN, though.

  • Can we play privately?

Yes. Warzone offers private parties for any groups of ten or more for an additional $100 Private Party fee. However, we think you'll have more fun in the open group. The more people there are to shoot at, the more fun the games.

  • Do I need to make a reservation?

If you have a group of 10 or more, we suggest that you make a reservation. If you want a private party, you must make a reservation.

  • What fire modes are allowed?

Full auto is allowed for airsoft.

    Paintball is restricted to semi-auto.

Please be advised – Warzone is a family friendly environment and we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who we feel may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or anyone whom we feel may be a danger to themselves, other customers customers or our staff. We will not refund any money to anyone that is refused service for these reasons.
